The King's Kids Vision

Since late 1988 Rick and Cathy Kirschner have been the youth pastors at Selwyn Outreach Centre in Ptbo. Ontario. In 1989 they were called together into full time ministry while on their first mission trip in Tijuana Mexico. In '92 Kings Kids was incorporated and registered as a Canadian charity and since then has lead hundreds of youth and adults in creative initiatives through the Kings Kids vision:

To Reach, Build and Activate Youth to Impact the World for Jesus Christ."

Reaching

Kings Kids has reached out to people on "their turf" in many fun and relevant ways and dynamically presents the message of God's love and redemption through Jesus Christ

Building

Working in support of and alongside the local church, Kings kids help convinced believers grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, His Body, and the World. In all their outreaches, Kings Kids challenge believers to become part of the local body and grow in their faith in God in the setting of the body of Christ.

Through in depth study of the bible, mentoring, weekly leadership training , retreats and seminars, Kings kids help equip committed people with knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to become mature Christians.

These committed believers are then challenged to become active workers in the ministry of reconciliation as outlined in 2 Cor. 5:17-21.

Activating

As growth happens, mature believers are activated to do the work of the Lord Jesus through multi-facetted initiatives available through Kings Kids and local churches, and continue the cycle by reaching and building others both locally and globally. King's Kids initiatives include foreign mission trips to locations such as Mexico, Jamaica, Bulgaria, Equator Africa and more. Local music and work missions include the Cross-Canada tour in 1995 and 2000, and more currently the 2008 Kaos Repossession Company Project, Fort McMurray Alberta.
